ARRI Edition 512 GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 Card

Following the 256 GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 memory cards, SanDisk now increased the capacity of their CFast 2.0 cards to 512 GB. At twice the recording time, these cards are very interesting for a wide range of applications, from underwater to aerial cinematography, live-performance coverage, high speed and high resolution capture, as well as extended uncompromised, uncompressed mxf/ARRIRAW recording on the ALEXA Mini.

Next to the retail version of this card, SanDisk also makes a custom ARRI edition 512 GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 memory card, specifically for our AMIRA and ALEXA Mini cameras. It is important to note that our cameras will only support the ARRI edition of the 512 GB CFast 2.0 cards. This ensures that customers can buy cards with ARRI- certified compatibility over extended periods of time, while the retail version of this card might go through some changes, which may have a negative effect on performance in our cameras.

Like the latest 128 and 256 GB SanDisk Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 memory cards, the 512 GB ARRI edition satisfies requirements exceeding the regular CFast 2.0 specification. Like all CFast 2.0 cards that can be ordered from ARRI, the 512 GB cards have to pass an extra inspection at the ARRI factory.

Tested by ARRI – CFast 2.0 cards have to pass an additional quality inspection before they are shipped. This step provides a basis for extended level customer support and validates that the product is compatible and in working condition.
Recording capacity: approx. 50min 2.8K ARRIRAW, 30min 3.4K OG ARRIRAW, or over 2hrs of 2K ProRes 4444 XQ at 24 fps.

Note: This card is available exclusively from ARRI. ARRI cameras only support this special edition of thw 512 GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 memory card. The retail version will be rejected as 'invalid' by ARRI cameras.
